I was considering buying the VERY inexpensive Metropolis by Madacy. Problem is, I have a couple of their DVDs and do not like what they've done to the films - bad cropping of bad copies, bad splice jobs with pops, clicks and mising words/sentences (like their job on "The Man Who Knew Too Much!).
Comments? Any alternatives to this? I can't find any other options.
Thanks in advance.

This is one of the worst dvd transfers I have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately it's the only version available on DVD right now. I would avoid Mandacy at all costs if I were you.

I believe you're right... but even a BAD copy will probably have to do, until I can get my hands on a good copy.
Madacy is now on my s/^t list. I'd rather pay more for a decent copy.

jblackie,
Just about any VHS copy of Metropolis is going to be better than the DVD version. It is the worst home video (in any format) that I have ever seen. Save your money and don't support Madacy!
