this is one of my favorite action films and i was wondering if any of you have seen the dvd and could comment on it. thanks.

It's an early Fox effort, so it's not anamorphic and has basically zero extras - only the trailer. The image quality is OK but not spectacular. Sound is awesome. For true fans of the movie only, since much better sound demo discs are out there that also have great image quality. HTH.

If you have a 16x9 TV then it probably won't look that good. For the remaining 99% of viewers, the picture is very fine! Highly saturated colours, no pixellization, good detail... excellent. There are slightly more jaggies than necessary, but it's still great overall. Not sure if it's worth the money (FOX DVDs are overpriced in the USA), but the disc does get a lot of play at my house...

The picture is non anamorphic but still ok.
The sound is reference quality. I too really like this movie. Fox titles are expensive but I used a coupon and got it for $14.69. If you like this title I think it is a keeper. |
I love this movie and it has a terrific animated menu for such an early Fox DVD, but the one thing that drives me nuts is the fact that they have a menu selection titled extra featureS, that takes you to a still page with just the theatrical trailer. What kind of ad is that? At least the movie is awesome, both in terms of video and sound quality (non-anamorphic)
