An obvious homage to the great films from Hammer studios. If you can stand Johnny Dep and Cristina Ricci then you will probably like this film.

I've seen it at the theaters. I couldn't wait to pre-order at reel.

The sets, tone and mood of the movie was good. Don't want to spoil anything about the plot but it sure had a different take on the legend of sleepy hollow.

I believe the DVD would look great.
Just my two cents.

If you like Tim Burton, this is a film to pre-order if only for the commentary!

DVDFile (www.dvdfile.com) has a great interview with Burton about the disc. Check it out if you still aren't sure...

I couldn't wait for the pre-order. This should be a great DVD.

Easily my most desired preorder.
Saw it a couple of times in the theaters and each time I brought a different friend to see its charms.

Don't read the rest of this! Go order it now! Now! Or at the VERY least rent it.

Very entertaining film.

I loved this movie, and I think it should be an excellent addition to anybody's collection.

The DVD:
This might be the most feature-laden disc that Paramount has released yet. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that.)

    [*]1.85:1, enhanced for widescreen.[*]Director commentary[*]Photo gallery[*]Theatrical trailer[*]Behind-the-scenes footage[*]The usual scene access, interactive menus, cast/crew bios, and 5.1 surround.[/list]

    The Movie Itself:
[*]Stars Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Jeffrey (Principal Rooney) Jones, Christopher (Dracula) Lee, Ian (Palpatine) McDiarmid, Michael (Alfred) Gough, Lisa (Tim Burton's wife) Marie, Ray (Darth Maul) Park, and somebody with a very high cool quotient as the Horseman. The actors are all great, especially Depp's effiminate Ichabod. Ricci is mesmorizing as Katrina, and the Horseman exudes the right amount of menace. [*]The film is simply gorgeous--the cinematography, the costumes, the sets...[*]Supposedly it stays pretty wild from the source material, but it's been years since I've read it so I can't remember. There is a nice homage to the Disney cartoon though.

This movie had incredible direction. Cinematography, effects and costumes were just perfect. I really thought the acting sucked though. It's my humble opinion the Johnny Depp couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. The horseman was by far the best actor of the whole flick. I thought the whole script was kind of dumb, both the story and the dialogue, but then again, I'm a fan of the original book, so I guess that might make me a purist

LOVED Johnny Depp / Tim Burton collaborations - see Edward Scissorhands, or Ed Wood.

Sleepy Hollow is a must buy, IMHO.
