I've been into very weird movies lately like Eraserhead and Jacob's Ladder, and was wondering how this compares. (If it's half as freaky as the trailer it MUST be good...)

It's very dated, and it's not a movie that improves with age, IMO. But if you are a Cronenberg fan, it's worth a rental.

I'm a big fan, but it's definitely a product of the 80's. That said, it's definitely weird, fascinating, and sounds like it would be up your alley given your tastes.
