Get addicted to DVD collecting. Any suggestions of MUST BUY LIST? Especially the preorder which has great discount.

Thinking of Stigmata but reviews make me hesitate.

Please do me a favor and don't buy Stigmata...if you must see it, just rent it. As for "MUST" pre-orders...I am currently going with Eyes Wide Shut, Three Kings, Last Temptation of Christ Criterion, Chasing Amy Criterion (when they set a date), Being John Malkovich, The Insider, and Bringing Out the Dead. I haven't seen two of these, the Insider and John Malkovich, but they've gotten tons of positive feedback so I'll get them...besides Pacino is one of my favorite actors of all time and Malkovich is a great actor too in a movie with an original premise. Don't get that everyday

TELawrence: What the hell is your problem? Why do you have to be all picky about the messages? I saw you in the Talk board complaining because some guy posted a link to the review for the Abyss DVD. Just shut up and get a life! The moderators will do what they want, you just worry about yourself! Jeez!

TELawrence 03-03-00 05:55 PM

Make me.

I'm becoming addicted too. (After jumpstarting my collection with 7 discs for $46 via the EMM CH code I found on this board...thanks guys/gals!)

Anyways, there's not much IMO coming up this week, but next week (3/14) seems to be a few:

Lord of the Flies (Criterion)
Il Postino
Like Water for Chocolate
Scooby Doo

Then on (3/21) I'm looking forward to:
El Dorado
Horror Express
Torso

Obviously it all depends on your taste in films.

sracer, I am with you in buying Scooby Doo's Original Mysteries. I have a 7 month old nephew that comes over on weekdays, because my parents baby sit till my brother picks him up after work. Anyhow, I would like to show him Scooby when he gets older, but I have to say I am mainly getting it for me! Scooby Dooby Doo!

I currently have Three Kings and The Sixth Sense on pre-order.

A few titles I will be getting closer to release are...

Being John Malkovich
Chasing Amy Criterion
The Abyss Special Edition
The Birds Collector's Edition
Spaceballs
Dogma--2nd release Collector's Edition
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
Fight Club
Twister DTS
Lethal Weapon 1-3

A
Big
no thanks to Stigmata.

Alright, folks, let's settle down. And for what it is worth, the best way to have a thread re-directed to the proper forum is to e-mail the moderator about it.

Moving to Talk forum as this thread contains no review or specific review requests.
