is this movie/dvd really that bad? I mean, imdb.com has only 3.0 out of 10. That is the lowest score that I have ever seen! Anyone ever watched this movie/dvd before and could give us a review? Thanks!

I sorta watched this one night, fell asleep/passed out during the middle of it My only excuse is I had a heavy buzz going when I walked into the video store Even being less than cognizant though I can tell you this movie SUCKS. From what I can remember you would have to really into the MK genre to even understand who some of the characters were and what was going on (which I'm not). It didn't have any of the style of the first one, and the fight sequences looked like something taken from Power Rangers In fact, thinking about it there was some sort of PR looking character/robot thing Anyway, when I woke up the next morning I rewond it, apologized to the VCR and returned it immediately. All the while saying to myself "Ok, no more Nutbrown ale"

My advice, use a sharp pointy object, your eyes will appreciate it more

I am a fan the original MK movie as well as the games. Speaking from a fan's standpoint, MK: Annihilation was absolutely horrible. Speaking as a fan of movies in general, MK: Annihilation is one of the worst movies ever made. Avoid this flick at ALL costs.

Alright movie. It never captured the excitement from the first MK. They also replaced the character Sonya Blade to some unknown. Sure ain't Bridgette Wilson. Man, she's a goddess... If you remember the scene in Billy Madison in the pool....Oops sorry, getting off topic.

Back to MK: MKII was a big letdown after the first movie. Unless you're a die hard MK bud, might stick to renting first

thanks! Just curious, how would this movie compare to Wild Wild West? I haven't seen both movies yet. Do they both suck at about the same level or ??

LOL! I would have to say that WWW is the better movie, by leaps and bounds. Its watchable (never saw the tv series) and it looks nice I personally don't like the movie, and prob. would never see it again - unless I had a choice between that or MK2.

I'm not the worlds biggest MK fan, but I've played all the games, and I do happen to like it. Loved the first MK movie, but MK2 just sucked. Esp. near the end - those special effects were really nasty looking, and what the hell was with the animalities? MK2 had alot of really dumb stuff in it, period. I'd avoid it, pretend it never came out, and just watch MK1 again.

Mortal Kombat is not anamorphic.

Part 2 is. Part 2 is great. Amazing AMAZING transfer. The 5.1 sound? First disc that I hear the rears playing voices! 5.1 in this one is killer! Up there with the best.

Mortal Kombat though destroys Wild Wild West.

I thought the first one was pretty good, so I went to see the second one at the theater with high expectations. Boy was I wrong. I cannot tell you how much I regret spending (or should I say wasting) $8.00 on this utter pile of crap. WWW while not being good either was definately better then MK:Anihilation.
