i noticed that there are 3 versions of casablanca (1 of which will be availabale feb. 15). anyone know the differences?

Apparently there is a memorabilia edition that comes with a movie poster and more, there is a Warner (in a snapper), and an MGM (?) in a good case. I think the warner and the MGM have the same extras though.
Not sure what is on the memorabilia ed. Phil |
There, are three versions of Casablanca but they all contain the same movie, transfer, sound, and supplements on the actual DVD. There is the MGM version, which is in an Amaray Keepcase, and contains a booklet. The version coming out on the 15th is being released by Warner Brothers to go alongside the release of other Bogart films - The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon, and Key Largo. Of note is that this release comes in a snapper, and as such will not contain the booklet. The third is the Warner Box Set with a whole bunch of non-DVD goodies like poster, book, etc.
All in all, the disc is great, which is really what matters. This film looks great! Philip - I recoginzed your name from the CDUG DVD Board - glad to see you've joined DVDTalk! |
