Was able to get a look at this early and was very pleased with the special edition that Artisan was able to put together. The picture is "16x9 fullscreen", which means that on basic 4x3 TVs, the image is letterboxed at about 1.78:1. On 16x9 TVs, the picture is fullscreen. The image isn't razor sharp, but certainly adequate and otherwise pleasing. The sound was suprisingly good, with incredibly effective use of all speakers during some scenes and most wonderfully, the sound creeps up on you out of nowhere until you feel surrounded with intensely creepy sounds.

Also excellent is the commentary track. Originally announced as including Kevin Bacon, it's only director David Koepp, who does fine on his own, recording a very good commentary. If you want to read my full review of everything about the DVD and the film itself, visit my site below.
