I loved this film at the theater, but there were plenty of dark and grainy scenes, so how does the transfer look? Also, the film sounded great in the theater, but I don't remember that much low bass, so will it give the sub channel a work out? Thanks!

I picked it up before the release date at Best Buy last week. The picture is anamorhic & looks great. There are alot of dark scenes, but they're not at all grainy. The picture is perfect. The sound was even better. LOTS of rear sound, with quite a few circling effects. There was a good amount of bass in the battle scenes, which sound great. I took a gamble getting this since I didn't see it in the theater & the reviews were pretty bad, but I really enjoyed it. If you liked the movie, definitely get the dvd.

I just watched the DVD last night and I agree entirely with El Kabong. Excellent picture and sound. I too had not seen it before, and though the theater trailer I saw looked good, the reviews were weak enough to lower my expectations, so I was really pleasantly surprised.
