Strangely delayed at Reel.com for a week longer than everybody else, so I'm just wondering what people's thoughts on this movie and DVD are.

Cool story, crappy animation. Has nothing to do with Ninja Scroll. If you liked Giant Robo, you'll like this one. Same writer.
