I'm fairly new to DVDs, but one of my favorite features is the audio commentary track (can't wait til Muppets in Space!!)
Anyway, the Liar Liar commentary (avail only on the CE) is really great. Sure, it's only the director (woulda loved 2 have Carrey on there), but he is really excited to be able to share all the stuff with you, and very early on he says something like "I have like 50 things I want to tell you about each scene, I didn't realize they'd come so fast!" His enthusiasm is super. At another point, he says, "This scene... I have nothing to say about this scene." It's really funny. He seems likes a cool guy, and a peek into Carrey's process is very insightful. definitely recommended purchase (or at least rental) for ALL Carrey fans. |
I agree with you Amir. The commentary track is great and insighful. However, I find this Universal collector's edition title lacking in special features over similar collector's edition titles like Out of Sight, EdTV and Mummy.
None the less, Universal is finally doing justice on a truly great film. Trust Me. |
I'll have to give the commentary a listen then. The director sounded very enthusiastic during the featurette as well. I agree that this CE is lacking in extras but it's finally 16X9... woo-hoo! http://forum.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif

Gotdvd,
You also forgot to mention it's finally in a widescreen format. That's the only reason why I never brought the first release. Kahuna |
