Has anyone seen or know much about the difference between these two?

No I don't...but any thing that Criterion puts out is truly high class!

Im looking for 400 Blows the Criterion Collection. I know it "out of print" but Im hoping that someone(online store, retail store or distributor) has last one copy laying around somewhere. I knoe Fox Lorber has one, but Im want the Criterion. Can anyone PLEASE help me out?

Go to DVDExpress or DVDEmpire and read about Fox Lorber version and go to the Criterion site www.criterionco.com

To put it bluntly... if it's Fox Lorber it pretty much sucks. They are quite notorious for putting out some of the worst transfers. I have "Diva" (which thankfully was a gift and not something I bought) and it's littered with artifacts and such. I've seen other Fox Lorber transfers and they weren't much better.

Seek out the Criterion edition. They're discs are excellent.

Stores at a mall such as Sam Goody may still have it--I've seen Spinal Tap and The Killer at one. Bad thing is you have to pay full price ($40--ouch!)

It might not hurt to look at the Fox/Lorber version, since apparently no on who has responded has seen the version - might save you some money.
