"Fishing With John" is one of the best shows on television right now. Ok. That's not really saying too much, but it is a great show nonetheless. I know that there is a Criterion DVD of the show. Has anyone seen it, yet? What are the extras? Is it worth buying, or should I just tape it off TV?

I thoroughly recommend John Lurie's "Fishing with John." The transfer is excellent and even if you've seen it on TV before, Lurie's commentary is worth the price of the disc.

Thanks for the replt, serse. This post has been around for a while. I didn't think anyone was going to answer it. I'm definitely going to pick up this disc. And for those of you with the Independent Film Channel, I give this show my highest recommendation...especially the episode with Tom Waits.

Thanks for the replies. I just ordered the disc from BigStar. I can't wait to watch it, especially the Tom Waits episode. Man! Tom should be in every movie.
