Just watched Stargate this morning, and was very impressed with the sound. Lot's of LFE and rear channel action too!!!

Has anyone heard of a CE version or a Crterion or ANYTHING else of this movie coming out? I really like this movie, and I want to buy it, but I dont want to waste my money on a movie that will only come out with a "better" version in time.

<font face="arial,helvetica">There are certainly rumours of a new release of Stargate, as there are with just about everything. Stargate rates a little higher since it was an early flipper release (ugh) and would be much nicer RSDL.

Anyway, according to DVDfile.com, there are at least reasons to believe or hope that there will be a Stargate: SE sometime in 1999, with the slightly-longer laserdisc version and the making-of feature from that LD. If you're not desperate to own the title, you might want to wait a couple months and see if anything gels.</font>
