These "October Horror Movie Challenge" threads are for the discussion of the films in the 31 FILM SUBSET list.
The plan is for everyone to watch this film on the October day in the thread title, and to start discussing it the morning of the following day.
You may start discussion early if you want, but the preferred plan is for this to be as much of a group exercise as possible, with all of us viewing it "together" and discussing after.
Of course, you are totally encouraged to participate in these threads even if you haven't watched the movie on the designated day.
Even if you haven't watched it in years, or are not participating in the Horror Challenge, please feel free to chime in.
Spoiler tags aren't always used in here, so if you have yet to see the film BEWARE OF POSSIBLE SPOILERS.

A genuinely creepy film and the jump scares work because the overall mood of the film compliments it. I want to see more from this director.

I liked it, especially the first hour, but I thought that it kind of fell apart at the end. I also got some big-time Insidious vibes; it's what I feel that Insidious would have been if it hadn't spent its second half ripping off Poltergeist. The dead kid was creepy AF.

Plumbing is probably the eeriest thing lurking in everyone's house they don't ever suspect - the idea of something in the water is a rich one and re-watching Terrified now I'm left wondering more about the premise. I seems like there's an implied puzzle with the water and the magnets and supernatural with a deeper metaphysical bend. I love the hoovering bodies, they're eerie. The wife in the shower is darkly comedic being so over the top - funny without being bad/distracting. The old ghost hunters are also funny/unusual but not at the cost of tension. There's a lot of great visuals in Terrified. I was glad to see this picked as a subset film and it holds up well. The idea of creatures hiding in plan sight just not being seen because of our matter of perspective is perfect.

I forgot to post on this one when I first watched it, and it's already fading from my mind. I thought it was pretty good and had some effective parts. I didn't like it as much as some, but it was a good movie.

Man, I really liked this. That kid was really effective. We’ve seen the kid come back from the dead, but this is one of the most effective uses. I think the second half was weaker, but overall a very creepy movie. Like Trevor, this one probably weirded me out the most so far for the challenge.
