These "October Horror Movie Challenge" threads are for the discussion of the films in the 31 FILM SUBSET list.
The plan is for everyone to watch this film on the October day in the thread title, and to start discussing it the morning of the following day.
You may start discussion early if you want, but the preferred plan is for this to be as much of a group exercise as possible, with all of us viewing it "together" and discussing after.
Of course, you are totally encouraged to participate in these threads even if you haven't watched the movie on the designated day.
Even if you haven't watched it in years, or are not participating in the Horror Challenge, please feel free to chime in.
Spoiler tags aren't always used in here, so if you have yet to see the film BEWARE OF POSSIBLE SPOILERS.

I enjoyed Mausoleum with it's slow possession buildup and cheese effects; it has not aged well but is a captivating mix of campiness and menacing giving it a dreamlike quality. There are some fun kills and I'm a sucker for demon films.
I wonder if that's what's going on with my wife.

I enjoyed this movie when I watched it for last year's challenge. What I wrote then:
While no classic, this has its cheesy charms: a hot lead who frequently gets naked, lots of gore (this was a title seized in the "video nasty" craze of the 80's), over-the-top monster effects (with my favorite being the demon muppet breasts that starting eating some poor guy caught in an embrace). And there's a jaw-dropping comic relief scene with a black maid which manages to cross off just about every negative racial stereotype in a handful of minutes. Though to be fair, she ultimately shows herself to probably be the most sensible person in the entire movie. When she notices weird green mist coming from a bedroom, she doesn't investigate. Instead, she immediately packs up all her shit, leaves the house, and we never see her again! ***

This is another one I had deja vu feelings while watching, most likely having seen at least part of it as a child and not remembering... The Amazon Prime version was clearly not in HD, but I think it actually added to the dated charm of the movie. I think they overdid the green eyes/sound bit. Acting was pretty bad. Pure 80's schlock here, but it was fun for a one-time view.

I thought the stuff they randomly throw up on Netflix is cheesy and bad. Then we come across these 80's "gems". I'm curious, out of all the choices we had for this theme, why this? Damn did the 80's love to see nudity with a lot of bad acting.

I definitely agree with brainee's assessment. I was walking with a friend, and that scene with the maid had us howling with shock and laughter. There's no doubt the maid was the smartest one around. It was a nutty little film, very cheesy at times, but a fun watch.

Also, my wife happened to glance at the screen during a shot like your screen cap. My “look, it’s you a couple days a month”, didn’t win me any favors that night.
