I've never heard of anyone not liking YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN either, although if you hadn't seen any of the Universal films it's based on I can see where it wouldn't be as enjoyable. Having watched it again recently the only thing about I didn't like was Gene Wilder, who improves any movie by not being in it.

I'm not a big fan of Mel Brooks in general. I don't hate his movies and I don't hate Young Frankenstein, I just don't particularly like them.

Everyone I know seems to love the Heath Ledger movie, A Knight's Tale for some strange reason. I hate that movie, The way everyone behaves in it drives me crazy!

Transformers
Spiderman
Iron Man
X Men
Captain America
The newest Planet of the Apes
Another vote for Avatar ( Thanks Trevor for the suggestion )
I'm sure there are others but too long of a list to make.

Transformers is so much better on blu/DVD than it was in the theatre (you can fast forward/skip at home)

Apocalypse Now. I've seen it three times. The first time I thought it was boring and Marlon Brando was laughable. Darting in and out of shadows at the end, it was like the world's most expensive artsy student film. I watched it again years later because I know it's supposed to be a classic and thought maybe I wasn't in the right state of mind at the time. I still hated it. A few months ago I watched Redux, thinking it might be better. It was even MORE awful. After that I gave up.
Also, another vote for Citizen Kane. I understand it's importance to film history, since Welles pioneered so many things with that film that are commonplace today, but good God is it boring.

Heat-I bought this on DVD before the SE came out. Heard a lot about it, and my favorite two actors were in it. I found DeNiro's performance was really lackluster, and Al Pacino's role wasn't that different from the other times he's played a cop. I didn't care about any of the characters in the film.
Titanic-I'm still surprised how well received this movie was. First off, DiCaprio at the time looked way too young for Winslet. And the evil Disney villain played by Billy Zane was too over the top. Leo's character teaching Winslet how to hock a loogie didn't make for a good scene imo. I've seen much better romantic movies.
Unforgiven-Supposed to be a deconstruction of the western genre, but it seemed like the same ol' same ol' with the invincible gunslinger, and with even more grim n gritty.

This may not fit exactly, but on a smaller/genre scale I offer up the horror film The Collector. Read a million glowing reviews about it, yet when I watched it last night I was dumbfounded by an overall dumbness and complete lack of plot logic.
Many reviews made it sound like the second coming of horror, but I found it ridiculous.

I would add:
L.A. Confidential
Donnie Darko
and more recently:
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - Part Three's Company, part tepid slasher flick.

To look at reviews everywhere, it appears that people either loved it or hated it, but the overall average seems to be more toward the loved it end of the spectrum. For myself, my wife and I were both greatly entertained by Avatar, which is all I expect of any movie.
Movies I don't particularly care for (but I know others do):
A Clockwork Orange
Adaptation
Children Of Men
Forest Gump
Titanic
Any of the stupid, moronic, or romantic comedies that were/are created to make us laugh, make me cringe (except Raising Arizona and Office Space). -kd5-

I can't agree with anybody's choices here... I will throw into this ANY Woody Allen movie although I haven't seen Midnight In Paris yet. So to be precise - Annie Hall!

Here's my list:
Avatar (pretty good visuals but not much of a story)
The Godfather (and II and III)
The Abyss
Aliens
Jaws
Close Encounters
E.T.
The Wizard of Oz
Batman Begins (not that I *hate* it but it's not my favorite Batman film and I like it *far* less than most)
The Dark Knight (same as for Batman Begins)
The Birds (*this* is supposed to be "horror"?)
*most* Oscar "Best Picture" films and nominees (I only like 23 of the 83 winners and only 56 of the entire listing of nominees)
