DVD Talk review of 'Evil Things'
I read Jeremy Biltz's DVD review of Evil Things at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=50125 and...
I'll agree it's an interesting movie, far better than most would expect. On the other hand, its high-concept pedigree - Blair Witch meets Duel or something - is a little too obvious. Also, for me, the thing collapsed under the weight of its own internal logic. But whatever. If you're willing to suspend that old disbelief, you'll have a good time. Be sure to leave it running throughout the lengthy end-credits sequence or you'll miss about 10% of the film though, and in many ways the movie's best parts. |
Re: DVD Talk review of 'Evil Things'
Yes, the end credits act as sort of a fourth act for the film. It did have some logical problems, and was very derivative, but it was refreshing compared to the horrible CG creatures and abysmal story telling in a lot of horror movies. Meh. I take what I can get.

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Evil Things'
After I saw Jeremy Biltz's review I must say I was intrigued and still am but I looked for it on Netflix and couldn't find it. I also want to check out "A Horrible Way to Die."

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Evil Things'
Definitely worth it, considering Jeremy's above points. It's not another SyFy Maneater Series boring low-budget slasher blah blah blah.
What I really wonder about though is Spoiler:

Re: DVD Talk review of 'Evil Things'
I wondered that myself, KD. But, he was clearly omniscient and omnipresent, so such niggling details ought not to matter.
