Re: Horror Film Club (April 11th) - Rottweiler

This one is a little tougher to review. Combine a nonsensical story, bad special effects, insipid dialogue, poor acting and what do you get? Usually a movie not worth wasting time on. But for whatever reason, I found this movie oddly compelling. It was so ridiculous in spots that I just had to keep watching.

I never could completely tell whether the director was truly being serious or if he was being silly on purpose. Maybe that was one of the attractions I had to this one.

The only recognizable face is the little girl from Pan's Labyrinth and she stood head and shoulders over most of the other actors which was no surprise.

The ending is so preposterous that I have to believe that they knew they were making a parody. But were they?

My rating: **1/2 out of *****

Now excuse me. I have to go play "Infiltration" in a foreign country. Don't wait up.
