DVD Talk review of 'The Mist: Two-Disc Collector's Edition'
I read Thomas Spurlin's DVD review of The Mist: Two-Disc Collector's Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=32819 and...I'm amazed that anyone with any shred of intelligence could like this 'moron movie'. This is one of the worst adaptations of King I have ever seen...and there have been a lot. Granted King is not a writer of any depth or intelligence, but often the films have been better than the pulp fiction they come from...at least more entertaining. But this film is THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. Up there with 'Children of the Corn' or 'Maximum Overdrive'. Darabont should have his Directors Guild card revoked.

Comparing The Mist to Children of the Corn or, especially, Maximum Overdrive is... well, I don't want to get banned.
The Mist isn't as good as The Shawshank Redemption but I won't fault Darabont for that. Masterpieces are few and far between. Even for good directors.
