DVD Talk review of 'The Middle: The Complete First Season'

John, I had a similar experience with this series. I have to be dragged to new sitcoms, but my wife loves this one, and finally got me to watch. I never miss it now; it's a lot of fun, and it's dead-on with the small, quirky Midwest details.

Thanks Paul! Having lived in the Midwest for years, my biggest fear was that they were going to use the show to make fun of the people who lived there. I'm really glad they passed over the easy jokes and avoided doing that.
