DVD Talk review of 'Where the Wild Things Are' (Blu-ray)

I read Jason Bailey's DVD review of Where the Wild Things Are at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=42468 and...
it sounds like a great movie. I bought the BD, but haven't opened it yet. One thing I wonder about though is if it is as great as it sounds then how come it was completely shut out of the Oscars (and any other awards)?

Y'know, I was asking the same question when those nominations came out.

A lot of great movies get shut out of award ceremonies, and a lot of mediocre to poor movies get rewarded. Same as it ever was.
