Hi folks.

I'm looking for good horror and mystery movies, set in castles and mansions. Serious or funny, scary or mysterious, it's all fun for me. Here are some I can think of:

Clue - classic murder mystery comedy
The Private eyes - also a classic comedy/mystery, with a slight bit of horror
Ten Little Indians - along with the first two, one of the best I have seen
House on Haunted Hill - mostly horror, ends up as a mystery

There are a bunch of horror classics that fit into this grouping, but as I haven't seen them yet, I am leaving them for others to list (if you don't mind). Anyone who has seen more of Vincent Price's work, please give me some suggestions!

Those 60s Price/Corman Poe movies are gothic horror at its finest (though Haunted Palace is actually a Lovecraft story, presumably attached to a Poe title because I guess Poe was more of a household name).

The two essential ones that come to mind are James Whale's "The Old Dark House" and Argento's "Suspiria".

Well, if we're going to talk about creepy-ass houses, then you have to throw Psycho in there at some point...oh, and pretty much every Dracula and Frankenstein movie ever made!
