DVD Talk review of 'Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1970s Vol. 2'

I read Phil Bacharach's DVD review of Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1970s Vol. 2 at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=39245 and...a recent TV online overview of the current Saturday morning cartoon line-up lead to the dismay that there appeared to be no representation of the classic Warner Brothers cartoons! So what happened?? Did the parents-for-dumbing-down-our-kids organization finally get their way and deem the antics of Bugs, Roadrunner, and Pepe LePew too violent and too un-PC towards the French (oh dear and lets not omit Speedy Gonzales from the UN-PC list!)? Seems all kids get now are re-runs of Disney channel shows on the Disney owned network (sorry, forget which one it is), and really nothing else of recognizable substance. Sure I am old and out of touch and I am sure some of these shows are great, but I had at least had hopes for the Cartoon Network but no... no Bugs, Elmer, or Porky; just some super-hero X-Men type shows that has been over cooked these past few entertainment years. Truly a sad era when the Hanna-Barbara crap animation is considered 'classic'.

The Boomerang channel does show a bunch of older cartoons. Cartoon Network started showing an hour block of the old Bugs and gang cartoons as well in the morning.
