DVD Talk review of 'Shakespeare In Love: Collector's Edition'

I read Aaron Beierle's DVD review of Shakespeare In Love: Collector's Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=62 as I was looking to see if this movie had been released yet on Blu-ray, and found myself agreeing with much of what he wrote. But I felt that he should have singled out Stephen Warbeck's wonderful music, which truly propels this story and, for me, turns it into my favorite movie of all time. He didn't mention the complexity of the production, such as how the balcony scene begins in one place and then moves seamlessly to, I think, another country. The commentaries are a job and I I was especially fascinated to hear producer Donna Gigliotti explain that she had been strongly opposed to the length of the scene with dialog by Shakespeare and the setting jumping between stage rehearsals to Wil and Viola in bed, and she confesses how hard she tried to get that scene shortened, sure that viewers would be bored to death by it. But then she tells us that that scene had become her favorite in the entire film (just as it is my own favorite scene in the film!).

Long ago I bought the initial release followed by this "COLLECTOR'S SERIES" version (at the time around $34!), but this magical film is firmly on my Blu-ray wish list! Remember: This is my favorite movie of all time!
