DVD Talk review of 'The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3' (Blu-ray)
I read Jason Bailey's DVD review of The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=38730 and...
I wonder if anyone knows what they changed the title. Wasn't this released to the theaters as Pelham 123?

The posters had "The Taking of" in smaller letters than the rest, and some theaters might've left that off the marquee for space, but it's definitely always had that full title...same as the original movie from '74.

Here's another case where I didn't know it was a remake, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I hadn't seen the original, but that was fine; this was a fun film. Nothing to add to the favorites list, but a very fun ride with excellent performances by acclaimed actors.
Funny seeing Washington and Gandolfini again together after "Fallen", in a different context. Good stuff.
