DVD Talk review of 'Supernatural - The Complete Third Season'

I read John Sinnott's DVD review of Supernatural - The Complete Third Season at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=34489 and...

Thank again for another great review of Supernatural, it continues to be one of my favorite shows on television. But season three suffered slightly in giving us Bela and Ruby, two characters only created because the CW executives thought they would attract more viewers.. I only hope Supernatural gets back to its much darker tone in season four as it was in season one and two. I am looking forward to the upcoming blu-ray release.

Thanks for the kind words BLS. Supernatural has had one or two reoccurring female characters in each season, (Meg in season one, Ellen and Jo in season two) so I wasn't too surprised to find more in this set. I'm just thankful they haven't added a love interest for Sam or Dean. That would be the death of the show (IMO) and I can see the studio heads trying to push it.

I too can't wait for this to arrive on Blu-ray!

I had no problem with Ruby she served a purpose to the show, but Bella made the boys look dumb. Thankfully neither one will be part of season four.

There are two bonuses available as well. Target's version comes with a mini-locker calendar and Best Buy's version comes with a replica of Dean's Impala. I'll be going for the latter.

I would really love to get the Replica of Impala, but I am holding out for the blu-ray.
