DVD Talk review of 'An American Crime'
I read Cameron McGaughy's DVD review of An American Crime at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=34339 and...
i thought it soft pedaled the crime by being too sympathetic to the mother and really minimizing the horrors of the actual crime. in reality the girl next door was closer to the actual crime in an odd way. this film even has a false hope fantasy sequence ending to soften the blow a bit. in a way i guess you could say this film was given the lifetime channel treatment:P it didn't feel like a real film effort.
