DVD Talk review of 'Oban Star-Racers, Vol. 2: The Oban Cycle'
I read John Sinnott's DVD review of Oban Star-Racers, Vol. 2: The Oban Cycle at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=33701 and...
I like Oban a lot; it's a really good series. There are 2 things about the DVDs that really annoy: (1) the opening theme music was changed (it used to be both good and "fit" the story) and the replacement music pretty much sucks, and (2) they didn't remove ANY of the gaps for commercial breaks (VERY annoying--couldn't they edit the videos AT ALL?). Also, the DVDs being full-screen doesn't help (because IIRC Disney broadcast the show in wide-screen, though I'm not 100% sure--could have just been their formatting). Oh well... it is a really good series, though, and not overly expensive.
