DVD Talk review of '4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days'

I read Phil Bacharach's DVD review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=33632 and...i just read this review and heard about this movie. i think i even saw it reviewed on "At the Movies", it sounds very good. but the Amazon.com link doesn't work and is not listed on their site for R1. is this indeed out in R1 today?

That's curious. When it was entered into our system (before the reviewer got the disc) it was available as a pre-order (June 17th release date) at Amazon. Now they've yanked the listing, and it's not showing up on the other major e-tailors either. I can only assume that the disc has been pulled from release.

I'll see if I can find out anything.

DVD Beaver says the IFC release is 1.78:1, which if true would be enough reason to pull it (the correct AR is 2.35:1). But the review here claims it was 2.35:1...could Phil double-check his review copy?

Oops. My screwup. I knew the theatrical print was 2.35:1, and just wrote it without thinking. The review has been corrected. While the truncated AR isn't ideal, the picture quality remains excellent.

Boy after looking at the DVDBeaver shots it's much better composed at 2.35. Glad I only rented and didn't buy it.
