British History Recommendations/Assistance

In regard to Documentaries.

O.K. I have the following on pre-order (due end of July):

A History of Britain - The Complete Collection (900 Mins.)
Empires: Queen Victoria's Empire (219 Mins.)

I was also looking at the following:

The Wives of Henry VIII (198 Mins)
Elizabeth: The Acclaimed Saga of England's Virgin Queen (200 Mins.)
The Tower (384 Mins.)
Battlefield Britain (466 Mins.)
Monarchy with David Starkey (317 Mins.)
Monarchy with David Starkey, Set 2 (239 Mins.)

I have read the reviews and they all seem like good choices. But the review for A History of Britain is not detailed enough for me to know if any of the other ones I am looking at are really necessary or are (more or less)duplication.

I realize that the History of Britain covers a lot in 15 hours and therefor not a lot on any particular topic and some of the others obviously provide more detail (longer running times) than History can but is all the extra info worth it?

I think I will get the Elizabeth one and the Tower one but not sure about the others.

Anyone have some of these and can give me a comparison (which the reviews don't)?

Thanks in advance.

James
