Gone with the Wind: 4-disc - NTSC or PAL?

It's time that I watch this 'must-see' classic but I'm uncertain about which version to order - NTSC or PAL? Here is the link to DVDBeaver shot comparisons and hopefully you guys will able to understand where I'm coming from.

I don't see much difference between the 4 disc NTSC and the PAL version. What are you seeing that would make you choose one over the other?

PAL seems to be brighter and lighter on shades. In comparison, NTSC has stronger golden hue. No?

Actually, looking at the screenshots at an eye-level with the monitor show very little difference (as you mentioned). I think the angle of viewing have been playing a trick on my mind. I don't know...

Yeah, they look very close to me. The PAL 4-disc version is very slightly redder (or the NTSC 4-disc is very slightly greener), both to the point of not being noticeable at all if I weren't seeing them side by side, and that little difference can usually be seen just with different prints of the same movie in different theaters.

I would say go with whichever version works best for you in terms of technical compatibility (assuming the extras are the same for the NTSC and PAL versions).

I haven't watched mine in awhile but I thought the NTSC version was stellar.
