DVD Talk review of 'Cary Grant: 4-Disc Collector's Set (Indiscreet, Operation Petticoat, The Grass is Greener, That Touch of Mink)'

I read Paul Mavis's DVD review of Cary Grant: 4-Disc Collector's Set (Indiscreet, Operation Petticoat, The Grass is Greener, That Touch of Mink) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=31839 and...

Once again, you're right on, Paul. But it's worse than you mentioned: All of these movies were already released on individual discs 3 years ago.

There's still so much Cary Grant filmography to release, I was sad when I found out what this boxed set contained.

I will say that Touch of Mink was amusing to me, but I'm a big Doris Day fan, and this seemed like a 4th Day/Hudson flick without Hudson. It's likable enough. Your mileage clearly varied.

Thanks for the continued great work!

In my opinion "Operation Pettiacoat" is the funniest Naval comedy movie I have ever seen.
Grant and Curtis worked well together.
Sceens with the pig, painting the sub are Comedy Gold. HAHAHAHA

Also like "That Touch of Mink" good clean wholesome Fun.
Plus Doris Day is a cutie.

"Indiscreet" is boring.

Never have seen "The Grass is Greener".

I was planning on buying set this until I read the review.
Poor transfers and lousy extras made me decide not to buy.
I keep My VHS copies of OP and TToM until Lions Gate or whoever gives us a decent DVD release.

That is one hell of a deep, thorough review for such a shitty release.

Better watch the compliments, folks, before it all goes to Paul's head and he starts making wild demands, like bowls of nothing but green M&Ms in his dressing room. He's already insisting we call him "His Lordship, The Right Honorable Dr. Mavis."

(More to the topic... As a serious Operation Petticoat fan, I'm dismayed that it still hasn't received a proper release. What a waste!)

You don't think the split sleeves are a tad gauche?
