DVD Talk review of 'Forced Entry'
I read David Walker's DVD review of Forced Entry at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=30128 and...
I think that the argument that this film is "morally repugnant" gets right to the heart of what the film's point in fact is.
If you had paid attention to what Costello writes in his liner notes, you would have noticed that he looked at the film more as an experimental piece than a porn. The violence is there because it is required to complete the films effectiveness. Eroticism was NOT his goal.
I think that this film is a masterpiece and an important American work overall. It was ne of the first fully developed narrative films to include explicit sex.
Watch and and judge.

I have never heard of this movie, and don't really plan to view it, but I read David Walker's review and I was completely taken aback by Mr. Walker's insistence that anyone who enjoyed this movie is a "twisted pervert" or a "perverted freak". Is making a moral judgment about a film's audience part of a legitimate movie review?

i don't agree with the reviewer's POV either. i can understand if he hates the movie but to judge the audience who have an interest in such movies? that's pretty shallow, IMO.
after all, it's just a movie. i'm not going to go on a rape and killing spree after watching it.
