Rocky Anthology Worth Getting?

I noticed the new 2 disk Rocky came out but is the anthology the exact same as the one that came out a couple years back? Same video and audio? Does the anthology have the new 2 disk rocky inside? Is it worth getting?

Yes, if you love the Rocky films and can find it at an affordable price go for it. No, it does not have the new 2-disc Rocky version. MGM wouldn't allow that because the boxset itself sells for $40 and cheaper if it's on sale. I own the older red boxing glove boxset and I am happy with it, but I did double-dip on Rocky today with that new 2-disc set to get the free ticket for the upcoming Rocky Balboa.

I thought it does NOT have the new 2 disc rocky, just a re-release of the previous set...

No it's not worth it.

It does NOT have the 2 disc DVD and it's exactly the same as the anthology that came out 2 years ago, except that it has slim cases instead of the regular cases the other one had.

I can confirm it does NOT have the 2 disc Rocky, I saw it today and confirmed it.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that there will be a 6-movie box set with the new 2-disc "Rocky" and whatever MGM throws together for "Rocky Balboa".

I think at one point MGM was considering putting the Rocky two disc version in with the boxset because in the new slimer Rocky Anthology, the Rocky I case has a slot for an extra disc but only contains one disc, or maybe they did that so you can fit the new two-disc collector's edition in with the anthology, either way, I know MGM will release the ultimate edition box set with all six films sooner or later.

I believe the last Anthology came out 1 year ago around this time. Rocky 1 in the anthology has a DTS track. The new Rocky SE does not.

I think it came out 2 years ago, because I got it for Christmas and I swear I didn't get it last Christmas. I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive.

I am definitely going to get the new ROCKY:CE 2-Disc w/ the movie ticket for ROCKY BALBOA. I never bought ROCKY b/c I was waiting on a CE. The only one I ever bought was ROCKY III. I don't think I could buy the box-set b/c having ROCKY V in my collection would just be creepy. I guess I will just order ROCKY II & IV from Amazon.

cmon now Rocky IV was MUCH better than Rocky V. Yes, there is alot of music in the movie, but it has one of the best soundtracks for a film.
