Nice review das! It certainly wet my appetite (not that it needed it).

I think Deadwood edges The Wire as HBO's (and likely TV's) best show, but it is astonishingly good.

My personal favorite HBO show is Carnivale (rest in peace) followed by The Wire, followed by Deadwood.
