I'll have to give this one a rent since I like the genre.

Since you all seem obsessed with Gerard Butler I thought I'd remind you about the upcoming film 300 which should get you salivating since he's wearing less armor...

Hi space monkey,

Yes i know all about 300 its going to be fantastic for gerard butler, love the body, not so crazy for he beard though. He looked really hunky in beowulf and grendel and attila, the perfect leader. I hope you will see the film and see wrath of gods too, you will understand the film much more.

I am new to this site and have just found this thread. Since seeing Gerard Butler in Phantom of the Opera I have been a fan of his, he is a very talented actor and seems able to play all types of roles.

Some of my favourite movies are Braveheart, Gladiator and Troy. I saw Gerard in Attila and Timeline (and most others too) and thought he was fantastic and then I saw Beowulf and Grendel, a very different type of movie and I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, but I most certainly did, it was awesome and the Icelandic scenery just simply took my breath away.

I have recently learnt about the forthcoming documentary 'Wrath of Gods' about the making of Beowulf showing what went on behind the scenes and what the cast and crew had to endure. I have visited the website and seen the clips and the trailer, it looks so interesting and hilarious too and I believe Mr Butler is caught undressing? (well partly anyway) interesting! Do you know where I can get the DVD?

I see you are also discussing the upcoming movie 300. I have also read about this and watched the trailer and it looks as if it is going to be a huge success, some of the special effects look to be out of this world.

There is so much to look forward to. Have you girls been fans for long? and where did you first hear about Wrath? Where I live there has been no publicity for either Beowulf and Grendel or Wrath of Gods, I was just lucky to see something about it whilst googling for news about Gerard and I am glad I did because it looks as if it is going to be something really special.

Nice to meet you.

Hi Rani

Oh cool another Gerard Butler fan ...
It is nice to meet you
I first saw Gerard
Butler in Atilla in 2001
I thought he as so wonderful!!!!!!!!
I have watched my DVD of Atilla many many times...
and then have seen pretty much everything he ahs been in...
I was a huge fan of Beouwlf and Grendel and that is how I
found out about the documentary...
and have been obessed with seeing it ever since...
I think that the release date for the DVD will be soon...
I sure hope so...
I want to see it so bad...
I think you are talking about its a wrap scene in Butler's dressing room..
yes.. I am really looking forward to that one... LOLOL
I am from the USA.... sometimes it is hard to get to see Gerard Butler's movies here... but I was so lucky to see beowulf and Greandel in the theater during its limited release... and now I am just hoping that Wrath of gods
will show at a festival near me so I can see it on a big screen too... Icealnd is so awesome ... the trailer and the CBC showing I saw wasenough to
have me hooked ....

glad to post with you
good luck seeing the doc

Hi RW thanks for posting so soon after mine. Yes I have seen Attila many times too and own the DVD. I am such a fan of Mr Butler's that I have made a point of getting as many DVD's as I can.

I live in Australia and unfortunately the only movie of his I have seen on the big screen is Phantom of the Opera. Beowulf and Grendel was not released here as the 'powers that be' did not think it would 'appeal' to many people. I saw it on DVD and thought it was great, it would have been so awesome on the big screen but it was not to be, I envy you as you did see it in a theatre.

I am so looking forward to this documentary and its really nice to meet someone who is enthusiastic about it too.

Hope to continue discussions with you.

Hi Rani

That is too bad that Beowulf and Grede didn't come to Australia.
It only showed in six major cities here in the US and then at some film
festivals and there were some special showings.
I got to go to the premiere in LA. I was so blown away.
Iceland on that big screen took my breath away.
When I saw the first sample clip of the documentary at the
Wrath of Gods site I was blown away and I couldn't
believe that Jon Gustafsson had captured the complete behind the scenes
story of the filming of B&G. What unbelievable events.. You have to appreciate what these poor guys went through, I waas so fortunate to see
the CBC broadcast of the documentary it was a short version of
what the full documentary will be...Now.. I just can't wait to see the whole thing... I have heard that the extras or bonus material on the DVD is just
the icing on the cake... i get excited justthinking about it......

Hi RW and LadyR too, I see you have joined this month as well.

I bet it was amazing on the big screen, I know I marvelled at the scenery on the DVD but that would have been nothing compared to seeing it in the theatre, you are so lucky.

The DVD is going to be so good and I heard about the extra's too, can't wait for its release. I haven't heard when but then I am new to all of this but I will regularly visit the Wrath website for updates, and here too!

Didn't think I would find anyone as enthusiatic as I am, but so glad I have.

I was so impressed with what I saw on the Wrath website, didn't think I could possibly get so excited about a forthcoming documentary, but I have.

I think I will buy more than one DVD so I can give as presents.

Am watching, and waiting, in anticipation.

I would love to see it at a festival too and I am so envious you got to see it on the big screen, the scenery was so amazing, watching it on TV screens doesn't do it justice.

And a 25ft Mr Butler and undressing too, oh well, a girl can dream can't she?
