DVD Talk review of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Fifth Season'

I read Randy Miller III's DVD review of Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Fifth Season at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=22977 and...

Am I the only person who doesn't find this show to be funny at all?

I'm a huge Seinfeld fan, but I just can't get into this series at all no matter how many times I tried. Maybe if they would actually write scripts instead of winging it, the series might work. They've certainly got a cracker jack cast on it.

I'll admit the show's style is an acquired taste, but the "spontaneity" of the dialogue is one of its greatest strengths. Due to the exaggerated nature of the plots and stories, this helps to keep everything...well, grounded, so to speak.

Sorry you don't care for it. But it's garnered quite a fan base (at least enough to carry it into a sixth season), so it's got plenty of fans!

Is "Curb" still in production? I noticed a book about the show is now out with info about all five seasons. I don't want to purchase it (or ask Santa for it) if the show is still in production.

Just got the Curb book. very informative and clever.

I love 'Curb' the series. It takes a little time to get into it because Larry's such an ass, but its really well worth the patience.

I thought Larry ran out of a bit of steam in Season 5, but the first 4 seasons were hysterical.
