"Lethal Weapon" DC...how is it?

I mean does the 7 minutes add much? I noticed they have the single release DC for pretty cheap and was wondering if it is even worth it. I love the film, but have seen it so so many times on tv, so wondering if the scenes are worth it.

You definitely find out more about Riggs' ability as a sharpshooter earlier in the movie (in the original cut it is talked about, but you don't see it until the attempted rescue of Murtaugh's daughter). I haven't watched it in a few months, but I believe most of the added footage is earlier on and involves Riggs.

I've just been looking for a thread similar to this...

For reasons I can't fathom, I don't own this movie; probably because I've seen it so many times (thanks, HBO), and I'm unsure of this DC. I would like the original cinema cut.

Any possibility that this will get a Special Edition release with the original cut and some extras, or will WB wait for the next gen format?

I love 80s WB genre movies

I believe in the last Warner chat on home theater forum, they went on record as saying the Lethal Weapon Director's Cut disks were solid and that there were no plans to revisit the movies any time soon.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but the new footage is good stuff and, IMO, it doesn't detract from the original edit, nor harm the film's pacing.
