DVD Talk review of 'Gimme a Break - Season One'
I read Eric D. Snider's DVD review of Gimme a Break - Season One at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=20194 and...
It's all a matter of personal opinion, but I think "Gimmie A Break" was one of the better sitcoms of the 80's. I'll take "Break" any day over the mind-numbing, dense so-called "comedy" of "Steinfield", "That 70's Show" or "Friends".

Steinfeld. LOL.
I can take or leave Seinfeld myself. I don't not like it, but I don't love it.
In other words, one or two episodes. But, I wouldn't want to sit and watch whole seasons.
As for this show. I did watch Season 1 again. This was a season I never liked to begin with. The tone of the show changes after Lawrence boards in Season 3 as well as the Addy character. I will continue on with the show, but I too was disappointed by Season 1. But, like I said. Never a season I liked in sydication in the early 90's either. So, I will give another chance.

I've been watching Gimme A Break and so far so good. Not the greatest of all times but far from the worst and better than most of the cookie-cutter sitcoms of modern day where originality has all but left the building.

I just ordered season 2 from Canada-not available in the States.
