Dracula
what is the best dracula movie to have on dvd?
|
1.)Horror of Dracula 2.)Original Dracula(Lugosi) 3.)Dracula Has Risen From the Grave 4.)Bram Stokers Dracula 5.)Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires
|
Well, that's a trick question really. Each major Drac has a fine DVD presentation.
- Nosferatu: Stick with either the Image or Kino - Dracula (33): you can only pick up the Legacy, which has audio comm., doc, Spanish version, and a 5.1 mix - Horror of Drucula (58): great video from WB, but no extras - Dracula (79): Uni did a great transfer - Dracula (92): stick with Superbit version- DTS! So its up to your personal prefence of which version of the story you liked best. |
There are so many adaptations of Dracula I don't know where to begin

I've always been a fan of the Dan Curtis version of Dracula. It was a 1973 made for TV movie, starring Jack Palance, and with a script written by Richard Matheson.
Unfortunetly, the DVD transfers I've seen of it aren't very good. |
