DVD Talk review of 'The Jazz Singer - 25th Anniversary Edition'
I read Stuart Galbraith IV's DVD review of The Jazz Singer - 25th Anniversary Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=18258 and...
Excellent review, Stuart. Well done.

Thanks. Such famously disastrous films are fun to write about. Incidentally, a pal remembers seeing the trailer for this at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, and that it was greeted with throngs of people shouting "Boo!" at the screen.

I actually haven't seen this since back when it first came out on VHS. I remember liking it?
Of course, I probably didn't have very good taste back then. I'll probably rent this at some point.
Anyway, I agree -- very well-written review.

this is about as bad an image will ever look on dvd.
every shot is a washed out muddy mess.
while the movie isnt so bad this is an embarassment on the pq side.
also it has a dts discrete rear surround and a DD-ex rear surround.
if it wasnt listed on the dvd case i wouldnt even have known it had any surround sound period.
other then a little backround noise, there was nothing.
i sure didnt hear anything.
there barely was anythng audible even during the songs.
