DVD Talk review of 'The Warriors - The Ultimate Director's Cut'

I read Ian Jane's DVD review of The Warriors - The Ultimate Director's Cut at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=18017 and...

After reading your reviews of The Warriors, The Fly, and The Fly 2, not only am I green with envy but very impressed indeed.

Excellent work on these reviews, pal, especially considering the time crunch you were on with the Flyplatters.

I agree pretty much with everything in Ian's review, I got the film a few weeks back and did highlight the changes to the new version, as I knew they would cause some controversy.

Interesting comment about a commentary being recorded, because the region 2 upcoming release apparently boasts a commentary and also deleted scenes - maybe the R1 was rushed out before all of the extras were properly completed?

By all accounts the R2 is going to be identical to the R1 (barring cover art) so the anticipation of the R2 being any different has proved to be a bit premature.

Well this information came from an official R2 website that basically published the whole official press release verbatim. Granted it may still be an error, but it was from an official source.
