Question about emailing review authors

Do they typically respond? I've tried a few times over the past year or two and again recently but never receive a response (just to follow up on tech specs when I find conflicting info so it wouldn't be because one took offense to a communication). Is it that some just choose not to respond, spam filters, or perhaps the automated system being linked to an expired account?

I can only find two reviews for this movie and they conflict each other in terms of whether or not it is anamorphic. IMDb and DVD Empire list it as anamorphic but everywhere else I've checked list non-anamorphic widescreen with the back cover stating 4x3 letterbox. The other sites reviewer stated they didn't know and got the tech specs from IMDb/DVD Empire so I have no idea what it truly is.

I would have posted a question asking for confirmation here but I figured attempting to contact the reviewer would be the better option since the title in question isn't likely to receive much feedback and a search won't work on it (3 letters).

Well...anyone that emails me will get a reply!

With this said, what movie are looking at ....perhaps I could assist?

If I name the film the reviewer might not appreciate my question so I'd rather not draw specific attention. I was just curious whether or not this is an avenue that typically yields responses when appilicable or if by some chance mail wasn't getting to them for some reason.

I always reply to any e-mails I get...unless they are threats to show up at my home and hurl heavy assorted items at my house.

Abintra - if you have a question about a DVD's technical aspects, you're just as likely to get a correct answer in the DVD forum...and probably a lot faster too.

Okay. My question is in regards to Leo and whether or not it is anamorphic (I realize you mean a new thread but since this is already created).

Here is everything I found.

http://dvdlist.kazart.com/queryDVDList2.php3?id=40022 (4:3)

http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=16:V|||278240 OAR but non-anamorphic

http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...item_id=589291 (anamorphic)

http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...1&tab=5&back=1 (back cover scan stating widescreen 4x3 letterbox)

http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/leo.php (anamorphic)

http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=14779 (non-anamorphic I'm guessing since it isn't addressed either way)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308496/dvd (anamorphic)

http://www.realpoliticalfacetalk.com/r/leo.htm (doesn't specify)

http://homevideo.firstlookmedia.com/...336CC37B508%7D & http://www.firstlookmedia.com/Home%2...nment/leo.html (don't specify)

I get a lot of emails and try to respond to them all (either positive or negative). For the most part, my associates do likewise from what I'm told, but sometimes emails are indeed caught in filters or otherwise don't make it to us.

I always do, unless the e-mail makes absolutely no sense at all.
