So what's the ETA on DVDTalk's Star Trek: Insurrection SE review?

I just noticed that all of the other 9 Trek movies have been reviewed at least twice, some three times, but yet Insurrection has escaped DVDTalk's notice with both of it's DVD releases. I've already bought it so it won't affect me either way, but I'm just curious. Is there an anti-Insurrection bias at DVDTalk?

It was mailed to Holly Ordway a couple weeks ago. Dunno when it's going to be reviewed, though.

I feel much better now, knowing that all 10 Trek movies have in some way been covered at DVD Talk. And I'd say that I pretty much agree with Holly's assessment of the movie. A decent, fun movie that could have been more.

Yeah, I agree the main points of her review too. Although I would add that most of the Star Trek films, particularly the Next Generation ones, seemed to be constantly trying to remake Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, always featuring a scene-chewing villain with an evil plot that the captain (Kirk and/or Picard) could go up against. (Star Trek: Nemesis even upped the re-Khan factor by having a major character sacrifice himself to save the ship and crew.)

The movies really seemed trapped in a vicious cycle in remaking this basic plot (which was so unlike the majority of plots from the original shows) that it kept the Trek movie series from being all it could've been.

what they need is a movie where they travel back in time and have the original crew. Its been all done before, but it works.
