Another good review by Stuart Galbraith IV for the DVD release of McQ. However, he makes one mistake in his statement about John Wayne turning down the role of Dirty Harry. The Duke didn't turn down the role because he thought it was a poor script...on the contrary, he thought it was very well written. The problem he had, was that he couldn't picture himself (and he was 100% correct here) being as sadistic and foul-mouthed in a role, as Dirty Harry was written. It was a great movie...but not one suited for the persona of John Wayne.
