Without a Trace?
 

I just saw an episode of Without a Trace for the very first time on Thursday when it aired. I thought it was a VERY good episode and I definately want to see more. I'm a fan of the CSI shows as well as Law & Order.. and with Without a Trace Season 1 out on DVD.. do you think it's a good buy?

Yes. <i>Without a Trace</i> is clearly a show that owes its existence to the success of <i>C.S.I.</i>, but IMO it's far superior. While entertaining, <i>C.S.I.</i> is a bit too unrealistic and gimmicky for my tastes. <i>Without a Trace</i> drops most of that flashy style and replaces it with some stellar dramatic writing. It's simply a very, very good show, and the first season is certainly not lacking for quality (with two episodes -- Suspect and Hang On to Me -- making my Top 50 episodes of the season). If you like this type of series, and you liked on episode, you'll almost certainly enjoy the entire first season.
