Any fans of 'Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl: 3-disc Special Edition'?

I read Holly E. Ordway's DVD review of Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl: 3-disc Special Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=13396 and shoot...it didn't help me. I am on the fence about upgrading from the 2-disc version to the 3-disc version. But I'm a big fan of the film, it's one of my favorites from the last 10 years, so it's kind of hard to tell what the value is to a fan. Holly's opinion being so different than mine about the film, maybe that third disc would be worth it to me. Any fans watch that extra disc yet?

No offense Holly, we just like different films. I'd like to hear what someone who liked the film thought of the extras.

I'm not sure if my opinion will help, because I haven't seen the extra bonus disc and I have no intentions of looking at it. Anyways, this film was one of my favorites from last year and I was too on the fence about upgrading. However after reading Holly's review I have no intention of upgrading. I thoroughly respect her opinion and feel that even if she wasn't a huge fan of the film, her opinions about the extras are just.

I'm not upgrading. My suggestion is to give the new version to someone as gift, then borrow the 3rd disc to see the new extras. You can read more reviews of the disc here: http://www.dvd-basen.dk/uk/home.php3...is=ok&region=1

The thing that helped me decide in upgrading was this ... how many "featurettes" have you EVER seen that really solidified a DVD purchase? I'm usually all about getting the super nerd edition of whatever DVD is out, but this just seemed ... pointless.
