I'm also wondering if Rambo 3 has fixed subtitles.

I watched it last night. I do not have A/V equipment that is good enough for me to go into detail about how well the disc looks or sounds. It looked on par to the other set.

The differences are that this set includes some extras not on the other set. The first one is a Stallone commentary. He is actually pretty good, and he should do more of these. I don't know of any others that he did. Though he does spend approximately 50% of the time talking how cold it was. That get's annoying. And the one part that was odd: He makes it clear that he HATES the National Guard subplot, with the weekend warriors chasing Rambo into the cave. He talks badly about their acting, and the whole idea of this happening. This to me was one of the better parts of the movie. It added some humor.

The other main extra are three deleted scenes. The alternate suicide ending would have been disastrous had they left it in. It would have been depressing, and does not fit. Especially since the other ending worked so well. The other main deleted scene is Rambo "gettin' down" with a Vietnamese woman. No real reason why this one was deleted. Probably because it broke up the tense cave scene.

Also included are some extras that I did not fully navigate. One is a dossier(SP) of all the major character. Even Mitch. It tells their education, background, military service, criminal record etc. It is neat, and has some cool info.

The commentary is the best part. But I am not sure it is worth the upgrade. As far as I can tell, he does not do a commentary on II or III.
