Stir of Echoes SE DVD Review?
Has anyone seen the dvd review for Stir of Echoes SE? The review listed on this site is for the old version of the movie and isn't for the new release today. Was wondering if its worth picking up for a better transfer and the DTS 6.1.
I'll probably get it anyways just to support DTS but was wondering if there were any reviews posted. |
Haven't seen it yet, but it should win the scariest menu ever made award. It's creeeepy.

Interesting review from hometheater forum, he didn't see much difference between the two. Has anyone else been able to compare these as I own the orignal release and only want to double dip if the transfer and audio are superior.

I watched the disc tonight and thought the video and audio were the same as the previous disc. I can't listen to dts however. The extras were a lot better tho.

I compared the original transfer to the new Stir of Echoes S.E., and they do appear to be the same. I did think the DTS was slightly clearer than the 5.1 which is also very good. The commentary is the same. I enjoyed the new "Making of.." extra which was shot during the filming. There are some other very nice extras, here that are welll done, and actually more than I expected. If you don't own Stir of Echoes, it's an easy pick. Is it worth it for the DTS? Tough call. Figuring in the new DTS track along with the new Extras, I'd say yes. Quick Note: The "Dark Streaks" on the cover, is actually a plastic Slip case that fits over the keepcase.
